Addrienne Amato was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After a childhood in the Midwest, in 1999 she moved to Denver, CO to study art at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design. Upon completion of her BFA in 2003, she began studying and teaching yoga in Colorado and Texas. In 2005 Addrienne moved to Brooklyn, NY to attend Pratt Institute, and she received her MFA in painting in 2007. Addrienne currently teaches yoga in New York City and is a docent at the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art.  She also works and paints out of her basement ‘Studio’ in Brooklyn, NY. An avid traveler, Addrienne escapes Brooklyn on a regular basis to explore the outdoors with her dog, Stella.
